We LOVE Disneyland and over the years we have developed some traditions on how we “do Disneyland” that may be helpful to you! Disneyland is just plain expensive from the tickets, to the souvenirs, to the food, it all adds up and fast! We do a couple of things to save some mula. Here’s one of them:
Remember to pack a cooler bag or 2 with you from home!
Don’t leave home without this…..
and definitely don’t leave home without this……
EVERYWHERE we go we Take The Travel Envirocloth and here’s why…….. The darn thing can pick up to 99% of BACTERIA from off a surface and then the cloth doesn’t transfer the yuck once its picked up! Seriously think about all the uses…..wiping down hands (great on cheeto fingers), hotel bathroom counters, condo kitchen counters, tray table on the airplane, wiping out a hotel tub before bathing a child. The little magical cloth absorbs 7 times its weight so I have used it numerous times to soak up spills while on the go, like a full cup of water on someones leg on a flight :/ or who knows what off of a subway seat in New York. Not to mention it spot cleans spills/stains on your clothes. It is so so perfect for Disneyland……A magical cloth for a magical place!

California weather is nice year round but it definitely gets cold at night during certain times of the year and they can even get rain and at all sorts of random times. We have been caught in the pouring rain while at Disneyland and guess who came prepared…… yup thats right! ME!! You will thank me for this tip if you get caught in the rain OR if your family likes to ride any of the WET rides like Splash Mountain or The Grizzly River Run in California Adventure.
Our make shift ponchos were surprisingly warm! Even when the rain stopped the kids wanted to leave the poncho on because of how much warmer they were!
There are 2 parks at “Disneyland” you have the actual Disneyland park and then across the way is California Adventure. They have 2 separate entrances. Cars Land is the big draw at California Adventure. When it first opened people waited in line for over 4 hours to get their chance on this ride that lasts just a couple of minutes. We have some tips to help you NOT wait for 4 hours and enjoy Cars Land! The first thing you want to do when you go to California Adventure is divide and conquer. Send all your passes with 1 person and have them go and get fast passes over by Bugs Land for the Cars ride. This will guarantee you a shorter wait at that ride a little later in the day. (Certain rides offer fast passes. This is where you get a ticket with a time that you can go back to that ride and go in a shorter line) The other group should head straight to the Toy Story Ride to get in line. This ride is popular and can have one of the longer lines in this park. As soon as the park opens, go straight there to ride and take advantage of the shorter line.
