Crosscut Power Saws

A Safer, Simple Cutting Solution…

We developed the Crosscut Power Saws in our Northern Iowa facility to safely and effectively make simple crosscuts. These saws easily cut wood, wood products, composite material and plastics and make crosscuts of up to 18″.

How Are Crosscut Power Saws Different?

All cutting is done safely inside of a cutting box under a Lexan polycarbonate top. While the saw is in operation, the machine pulls the sawdust back into the machine. Next, the dust port removes the dust on the back side of the frame. It is the perfect combination of efficiency, precision, and safety. Learn More

Manual Crosscut Power Saw

The operator powers a Manual Crosscut Power Saw.

When the operator pulls the saw handle, the blade is visible and makes the cut.

When cutting material, first slide it into the side of the saw under the Lexan top. Secondly, clamp it into place with manual or pneumatic clamps. Next, simply use the pull-handle on the right side of the machine. Pull the carriage forward radially to cut through the material. After that, let go of the load on the handle. Lastly, the carriage will return to its home position under the machine’s cover.

Semi-Automatic Crosscut Power Saw

The Semi-Automatic Crosscut Power Saw features a semi-automatic cycle.

An operator pushes a button and the blade becomes visible as it cuts through the material.

First, slide the material into the side of the saw and under the Lexan top. Secondly, clamp it into place using manual or pneumatic clamps. Next, merely push the button to activate the cycle. The carriage moves radially forward and cuts the material. On these models, the carriage stroke is controlled by the adjustable stops on the right side of the machine. Lastly, the carriage returns to its home position under the machine’s cover.

Manufacturing of motors occurs in our Northern Iowa facility. By producing our own motors, it allows us to uphold a high level of quality. TECF (totally enclosed fan cooled) motors contain cooling ducts, which moves air through the motor laminations. In addition, the internal portion of the motor is sealed from dust and contamination. Both the Manual and Semi-Automatic Crosscut Power Saws have a variable frequency drive (VFD), which eliminates the need for a mechanical brake. The start up amps are reduced and the life of the motor is prolonged.

Construction of these machines consist of a heavy-gauge, steel frame. Further, the frame is powder coated for a long lasting finish. The beam and carriage assembly are housed inside the frame and the carriage rides on precision linear guides. This assembly creates a rigid and accurate moving carriage and produces smooth cuts for the life of the machine.

In short, you can count on making safe, repeatable, straight cuts for years to come.

Do You Need Test Cuts?
